Company History and Background
Founded: 2007
Koyu Matcha was conceived in June 2007 by Kevin O'Keeffe. Having spent 6 years in Japan he was amazed to find that the highest quality tea ceremony tea, matcha, was unavailable in either health shops or asian markets. Neither here nor in the UK. Kevin resolved to create a brand which would bring this most potent of green teas to the market. He subsequently achieved this in May 2008.
